Online Poker Tells From Auto Play

Poker tells in online poker are more difficult to pick up on than at in person casino poker card tables so why in the world would a Texas Hold’Em poker player feed right into giving off poker tells to his opponents at an online poker table? Laziness, I guess. Far too many Texas Hold’Em poker players become poker zombies and marks as they use the auto play functions when playing online poker which translate into easy reads and poker tells that their online opponents will profit from in additional poker chips/cash at the table.

Generally accepted poker rules of thumb at an online table indicate that the amount of time that a player takes to act on his poker hands is a tell as to what the relative strength is of his hands throughout the game. It doesn’t take the expertise of a Texas Hold’Em poker player on the World Poker Tour or World Series of Poker to figure out poker tells based on the pace that an online player plays his hands.

One of the best online poker guides and generally accepted rules of poker thumb is that an online poker player that plays hands with a check, no matter if it is delayed or immediate, is indicating weakness with those hands.

Another one of the highly regarded poker rules of thumb is that a Texas Hold’Em poker player that makes immediate calls with his hands is demonstrating strength with such hands and calls and likely has one of the best hands, if not the nuts, at the poker table.

Yet another one of the poker rules of thumb that guides many online poker players is that when an online player makes a quick bet and or raise with his chips at the table, particularly on Fourth Street or Fifth Street, he is indicating strength with his hands at those times.

Online poker players accept these poker rules of thumb when playing Texas Hold’Em poker at online websites because they have proven to be true when analyzing the majority of hands played by those players giving off those tells. The exception to these poker rules of thumb for online players to be aware of is slow playing of poker hands.
